I wanted to provide you with an update regarding ASB, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. 📢 DISPERSAL ORDER ISSUED, SUTTON BRIDGE
We are aware of reports of anti-social behaviour in Sutton Bridge some of which is meeting the criminal threshold. Incidents have been linked to several retail premises and are affecting local residents and motorists in the area. Some of the behaviours include items being thrown at vehicles and members of the public.
These matters are being investigated as a priority.
We are appealing to anyone who has witnessed any of these incidents involving young people over the past week to come forward. Please contact us quoting incident reference 177 of 18 June 2026.
Chief Inspector Matt Dickinson has authorised a dispersal order for 18 June 2026 between 15:00 and 19 June until 07:00 hours. A Section 35 Dispersal Order gives officers the power to require individuals to leave a specified area of Bridge Road, Sutton Bridge and all roads directly adjoining including the grounds of the Sutton Bridge Memorial Park, if they are contributing, or are likely to contribute, to harassment, alarm, distress, crime or disorder. Failure to comply with a direction to leave is an arrestable offence.
Sergeant Callum Corder from the South Holland’s Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We want to reassure the public that we are taking these reports very seriously. Anti-social behaviour and criminal activity that disrupts our communities will not be tolerated. Additional resources have been deployed to the area, and the dispersal order is now in place. Officers will issue dispersal notices where appropriate to prevent further incidents.
“It is important to recognise that young people are the responsibility of their parents or guardians. If you believe your child may be involved in local anti-social behaviour, I encourage you to contact us so we can intervene early and prevent them from becoming involved in criminal activity.
“I have also made it clear to my team that offences will be dealt with robustly, as we understand the significant impact this behaviour is having on residents and the wider community.”
